Western Jamaica Teaching Conference

Western Jamaica Christian Teaching Conference, hosted by Teamwork Associates, recently concluded the 25th anniversary celebrations under the theme: “The Holy Spirit Breakthrough Increase”.

The annual conference began as usual on Ash Wednesday March 9 and culminated with the Youth Talent-A-Rama on Saturday, March 12 and then Sunday Service at Teamwork Church.

Guest speakers were:
Adult Conference – Rev. Dean Brown from Christ Alive Christian Centre in the Bronx, New York and Rev. V. Ricardo Thomas from Faith Tabernacle Church out of Detroit, Michigan.

Youth Conference received an outpouring from Pastor Mark Graham, Senior Pastor at the Abundant Living Family Church High Desert in Southern California.

The youth and young at heart were also blessed by music ministry from Montego Bay based Adoraccion and DJ Godesta while Rohan “DJ Equip” Parker journeyed from Portmore, St. Catherine and was right at home on familiar soil (Rohan grew up in Teamwork Ministry).

The Children’s Conference embraced the teachings from the counselors and workers from Youth with a Mission (YWAM).

Conference 2011 considers 25 years of Ministry and outreach to be a significant milestone and recounted the history from the establishment of the Holy Spirit Teaching Mission in 1970 to the handing over of the property to Teamwork Associates in 1975.

The weekend thanksgiving services from 1975 to 1987 gave way to the Western Jamaica Christian Teaching Conference now an annual event from Ash Wednesday to the Sunday following.

Team Work Associates records special thanks to the Pastors and Churches that have supported WJCTC over the years and all those who have served as co-ordinators, members of the planning teams, speakers, presenters, music ministers and workers.
